I would never buy a watch with a Miyota movement ireespective of how attractive the case and dial may be and that is not because I am a watch snob but it is because they do not keep good time. I am of course speaking from experience. Of course if accuracy is not a priority then a Miyota movement would be fine.

Have meanwhile read your post above and the article on monochrome. While they speak about the individual testing, there is not so much explanation about the changes to base movement. Maybe someone knows more?
