Horological Meandering

I think these watches can make my brain working well and prevent Alzheimer’s 😎😅 Winding them, setting the time, calendars, hearing the ticking … makes me so happy each week. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am mostly tied to these 5 brands, enough...

I wish I had your kind of collection and be able to mistake how many brands I have. That would be sweet, just started this year though, hoping to build slowly, already at four brands and will add another one ( hopefully 🤞🏼 ) in some months. All in all bea... 

Begin with the end in mind...not easy and will probably get distracted with so many new brands and independent micro brands popping up left and right. Good luck and happy collecting.

set my watches on time. I listened to my favorite radioshow that is every Saturday at 13:12, winding and playing. Did a strap change. I am open for new brands, but my next purchase would be again the brand that have my 4 aces.

Except in this case of PP, which has the pins that fingers can do the job, others need tools that I will not attempt again with my clumsy hands.

When i order a strap, i take always the option quick release pushpins. ...

Maybe it’s me that’s the problem…maybe I’m thinking brand loyalty but with most of them abandoning existing customers for newer ones, I might as well be the newer customer of another brand? Hmmm….🤔

When i found the right door, i keep on walking through. But it is sometimes a shoe from glas. For example Longines. How long i must wait till Longines send my Conquest back for that easy service. Paid, and Longines say, mister would you pay your invoice? ...

No collection is complete but yours is pretty close.

increase the tally. Multiple flips over the years have distilled the collection down to keepers that I'm very reluctant to trade or sell. I don't want more but certainly do still want "the next one". This is a crazy affliction!

Felt like you can’t wear the big pieces as daily, then start buying more daily’s …then number creeps up again. What’s wrong with us? Haha…I wish I can know a good magic number to a collection. Sometimes I will think maybe just 1 each, eg. 1 GMT, 1 Daytona...

Maybe these brands are “mainstream,” but these watches certainly are not. They are simply lovely! This Platinum Daytona, this Cartier, this Speedy, this Patek PC, this Zeitwerk… You have a wonderful collection. I also believe that these watches are suitab... 

I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate these watches and how lucky I am to have them. Perhaps I will leave the consolidation to the next generation because I do have consolidation thoughts but also have regrets after doing so, although less often...
