Need experts to enlighten me.......

Now I have become obsessed on what makes good watch, not just how it looks like. I am into the movement part of it. I am still very new and need experts advice. I have owned Junghans Hnad winding with calibre ETA 7001. And I just came across a brand called Nomos Tangente 38 which have they own in house movement. But then I took a closer look at the movement, they look identical!!! (please see attached photos) just one with a stamp of Junghans and other Nomos. So can someone pull me out of the dark hole and explain me how it all works! They all use the same basic calibre and with a few final touches then they call it their own movement?? Is that how it works?

Thank you so much

Now it is too late to ask because I already owned Junghans. In your opinion, Nomos is a better made watch? Thanks Sukan

A very apropos question you ask... True, originally the NOMOS caliber alpha started from the base of an ETA 7001, but this is long, long ago... In the meantime, NOMOS has advance and integrated so much of movement-essential techniques and capabilities tha...
