Only Watch 2011 came to Los Angeles . . .

. . . last Friday, so I headed off to Westime in Beverly Hills to photograph the collection. As it turned out, there wasn't enough time to take snaps of every watch before the crowd started filtering in, but most of them will be represented here. As the l...

By: sidneyc : September 13th, 2011-04:32
The pusher at 9 o’clock, when pressed suspends the time, so the hour and minute hand you could see is close to noon but not quite, and the date hand is hidden. The time display is suspended but the watch is still running. To resume the time, the pusher yo...

For sharing with us all these Only Watch photos! I find the timepiece very intriguing as well when I first saw a photo of this watch elsewhere. It's amazing that the hands are suspended in an impossible time as FX mentioned. We can see from your photo, wh...

thanks to Jean-Marc Widerrecht of Agenhor and his usually outsourced nano-molecular technology. It is what it is - nothing less than that. Far be it for me to call it a "gizmo". No chance. If you like this way of controlling your personal time, than go ah...
I love it!

All Jean-Marc Wiederrecht's cleverness can be found in this watch: a simple and fun watch. I love the concept of the display of an impossible time. Fx

The Breguet for the dial and the complication and the Vacheron for the overall poetry and the "finesse" of the realization, stands out for me. The most important is that it is for a good cause. cheers Francois

I never understood why watch companies insist in making world time watches using a ring with city names. On this nice watch, we can see that Rio de Janeiro (UTC-3) and Tokyo (UTC+9) are opposite, meaning that they are 12 hours apart. This is correct when ...
Possible GMTs, Nilo?
By: amanico : September 13th, 2011-14:42
JLC Master Geographique, U.N ( the list is long ) are the names which go immediately in my mind, if you don't want to hear about a Rolex. Now you speak, my friend. I love these GMTs! Best, Nicolas.

It is clearly impossible for a mechanic watch to handle the daylight saving system: the countries don't change their times at the same day, it is impossible to program this system. That's my point of view. The purpose of the Journe UTC was to start to fin...

In fact this is a Retrograde Chronograph, graduated on 2 hours ( O / 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 ) with an indication that the Chrono works ( 0=neutral / 1=It works / - 1=it needs to be repaired ) and a map of the world because it looks pretty. Best, Nicolas.
