My avatar has changed several times...
... since I started becoming active on web discussion forums about five years ago. I tried various things from cartoons to a macro of the dial of the La Tradition I owned, to a photo of my self that was modified heavily with Photoshop® artistic filters, but I was never really happy with the results.
Earlier this year I finally decided to commission a caricature artist to create a unique image for me specifically for my internet persona. I submitted this photograph of me:
... along with this detail shot of my Breguet Marine Big Date:
Unfortunately, what I received back was not exactly what I wanted, although I wish I was this skinny (something to work toward):
... so it was time to apply some Photoshop® skills to adjust things including some mods on the watch (crown size, color of case, rubber strap and dial color), reposition my arm, and create a truer skin tone and hair color. Final result:
