Let me explain...

The watch looks thick from the angle the photo is taken. It even looks like it has a crown guard. The watch was substantial for the era. In reality it’s the two relatively large crowns. This was the first watch with a functional rotating bezel. Ideal for a pilot or navigator.

Back before Covid closed the local bookstore for business, I snapped a few photos from a WW2 aviation book. Can anyone spot the two watches in these photos? I can guess this 1st pilot is wearing an A-11 (because he is American) though I could be wrong. Th...

Case than just one crown so i think its the CK2129. I would say its most likley an Omega watch in any case since they produced more british army watches than all the other companies back then. Great post! I own a book about germany watches of Ww II, i nee...

Though Capt Scarlet sees it as well. Would be very cool if it was the CK2129 or the Mk11 as Nico suggested

If I ever needed a detective, I'd hire you . . .

I would love to know the name of the regard to the watches, the first could be an Omega but many possibilities with only a glimpse of the crown. I can identify the second watch, it is in my opinion an Omega model number CK2129. ...

Next time Barnes & Nobles opens their doors I'll see if I can find it again. Personally, in the photo I dont see the second crown you are referring to but the photo is grainy so maybe I'm missing it. What I do see appears to be a pretty thick watch. Looks...

I love anything military related and I was lucky enough to see one of these watches some years ago but passed up on the opportunity 🤯

That's a particularly difficult reference to hunt . . .

. . . so you were fortunate to even have it in your sights. Another difficult aviator Omega to score: ref 2042. I've never seen one in the metal. Same goes for ref 2129 . . . can't recall ever handling one. ...

It is so much fun talking military Omegas.. i love it.

That’s interesting, I haven’t seen that reference in the flesh.

I'm a bit baffled by the "21.5 kills" mentioned.
