Horological Meandering

It is even more difficult for me...

... since I own only a few true ladies' watches.    I have awakened some appreciation in my dear husband, but have had no success in getting him to treat mechanical watches with  more respect than a G shock.      Every one that has become part of his daily rotation has quickly needed repair.    I have to get him his own watches or I will go crazy with worry.      At one point he expropriated my Zenith Prime, and the inevitable occurred so  I sent it off.  When it came back I put it on a custom short strap in a feminine color.      So now he has a vintage Grand Seiko and Movado Datron El Primero, both of which are in need of tune ups, so I am getting him a less exalted  Seiko (or several) to tide him over - he likes the classic (to me boring) Japanese design.     His dress watch (a pristine solid gold GP hand wind chronometer) stays with my watches and comes out when needed - I caught him once wearing it while doing dishes.

Those of you who meet him at IGOTT2 - please remember the PuristS vow of secrecy.
