I would say that indonesia culture does have something to do with vintage being more popular.
As a country, we are very much multi cultural. And quite a long history. Our culture is rich in tradition and tradition and art usually comes hand in hand.
Vintage watches has a classical feel which does appeal to our culture.
But i do belief Vintage watches in general is the most " Natural Design" , its a design that is suppose to be. Unlike modern design which sometimes is "forced" and lost its
true root. A very simple experiment will prove it. Take a paulnewman daytona into a Rolex AD, put a modern daytona on your right wrist. Compare both watches. 9 out of 10
will pick the PN. It is a " natural design" which has universal appeal. Do the same with a sub. Result will be similar.

... I visited a preowned dealer in NYC and saw several Accutrons that gave me that usual, "One day I need to finally pull the trigger on one of those" reaction.
