Omega right now. I imagine that will be a Miyota mechanical/automatic movement, not COSC-certified (thank God!), but to their (Japanese/Chinese) certification specs. Not exactly a Grand Seiko-class watch, but very nice for Citizen. Thanks! =:^D

not just a decorated version of the Miyota automatic in low-end watches. From photos it appears that it will similar to Grand Seiko both in terms of movement and external finish. - SJX

Let's see if the Europeans can match the 10 year warrenty with the two free inspections. I bet it will be like pulling teeth to get the established European players to match this... they probably never will . Mike

...not sure if this is the direction Citizen should take. I would have much preferred to see them try their hand at 'mechanising' their Campanola range. Now THAT would be exciting!

I like the sound of the 10 year warranty. But, I am still very interested in the Grand Seiko. Ultimately, if I were to choose a fine Japanese timepiece, I may be leaning towards the Grand Seiko, since the GS is already an established brand and already has...

It is great when companies do something smart, tasteful and high quality, which is true to their history. The price is reasonable too. I am sure this will be a very high quality watch.
This is not Citizen's first "high end" mechanical...
