Horological Meandering

A little quiz for you guys. Some are originals some are remakes. Can you tell them apart? ...

I guess it appears modern because the modern watches are mimicking it? But the tell tale sign is the subdial position on the modern watches usually have them cram towards the centre of the dial and don’t have the balanced look of the vintage.

I just love the design of these 2 register chronographs and the story about their history. I love Speedy and El Primero too, can’t tell which I love more though. The story behind them are also fasinating. NASA test and the race to produce the first automa...

. . . is that the offset smaller-than-usual sub-dials set it apart from most others. Not that I know this for a fact, but my hunch is there's a golden ratio aspect to the layout and proportions of the 417's dial. Art
