i lost one walking the dog a few years ago
mine was an 18kt IWC tuning fork and the handle of the lead must have caught it and pulled a spring bar off. i was walking on a footpath with long grass etc on either side. needless to say i never found it, but my home insurance more than compensated for its loss. its still a bummer when it happens which is why i wont take high value watches on holiday with me.
