What is/are the watch/es you most regret trading and/or selling?
By: jh8cw : May 24th, 2018-11:55
Dear all, Every time we attain a watch, there is the next best watch we could have obtained. Sometimes, we trade or sell pieces to attain the time piece that our heart beckons us to attain. Here are my two watches pains me to think of losing in a trade an...

I could say I regret selling two watches - the basic Omega Speedmaster and the TAG Heuer Monza. Both of 'em were really well worn and thoroughly enjoyed before I had to let them go. Cheers, Filip
All the time :).

The Speedmaster will be re-purchased in an even better variant certainly and even the Monza is up there as a possibility. Cheers, Filip
These 2!!!

Up to now, no regrets.
By: Jay (Eire) : May 24th, 2018-15:32
This is mostly attributed to 1) me very rarely selling (~10 watches over 20+ years) and 2) when I have the incoming has always been better mechanically, aesthetically, historically or just in terms of suitability / wearability (e.g. I've sold almost every...
Those are very valid points.

I made that trade thinking it was my best shot at the watch at that point in time. Trading merely 10 watches over 20 years is remarkable; to me it speaks of you discipline, careful thinking, that you're very much in tune with your taste as well as stabili...

By: jayeyedoubleemmwhy : May 24th, 2018-16:07
I purchased a pre-owned Omega Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch but immediately had doubts about it because I thought 42mm was too big for my wrist. Sold it after a few months, but then came to regret the decision. This was right when I started a two year watchma...

There's been a few watches that I occasionally miss. The one that stands out the most is the Cartier Tank Basculante ref. 2390.
Still till today no regrets .

The first Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar that I ever bought. It is a 3940 with a Dore dial. I sold the watch twice and bought it back twice! This happened over a time frame of about 10 years. Unhealthy, unsound, un -economical! That watch βbitβ me hard....
