Horological Meandering

Hi Everyone...Would like you to chime in what do you think of the size of this watch on my wrist? Do you think it is a balance size or a bit big or any other opinions? Size is very relative to what you are used to and I am curious what you think. Right no...  

But height can always be a factor i.e. thickness and case shape. That is to say some big watches wear small and small watches can wear big. Bill

The watch is about 10.5mm in height. Is that consider thick or good size? I'm checking on LF and T30 height at the moment too. Good advise. So a flatter watch will make it look bigger or smaller?

I look at the wrist from the buckle side and the lugs definitely do not stick out. It is within the top wrist surface with probably 1 mm spare on each side. It's just hard to find a T30 or LF to try here, though I remember fondly trying a T30 for a min an...

both tourbillons are wonderful and that's why I focus on just the size part. The last thing I want is to get the watch and then feel the watch is too big...haha

for a dress watch it is the maximum for your wrist, but still looks fine. Nice watch by the way! Dirk

It's hard for that watch to not look good. I think this is a good old size for you, and this watch deserves to be either bold or subtle on the wrist. Hopefully that makes sense.

This watch seems just nice on my wrist and that's why I'm wondering if the LF or the T-30 will be ok too.

This watch makes your wrist look small and thin, which it is, and that is the effect you want to avoid. Its like a fat guy wearing a horizontal striped dress shirt or a short man wearing an ill fitting suit with the sleeves too long and pant hems dragging... 

I probably would not go any bigger. Great watch!

I think this watch when worn with long sleeve will appear smaller. RIght now it is just my naked arm and the watch, hence it feels bare. Compare to a Richard Lange, this watch is about 1.5mm smaller. I do believe LF wears smaller than RL even though it is... 

You should try the LF 'properly attired'.

but as you know, LF and T-30 are kinda like UFOs. Hard to find them to try.

if you want to go big size for small wrist its got to be a small version of a big watch like the 42mm PAM337 radiomir with the wire lugs or 39mm archimede flieger pilot which would look proportionally sized on your wrist like the 47mm radiomir and 46mm iw...

I have tried a 40 CS before and it doesn't fit well on my wrist but when I briefly try the T30 on my wrist, it somehow looks good. Then again, it was too brief to make a sound conclusion. There are so many wonderful watches out there that are too big for ...

Patek 5105. It's the ultimate rectangular watch . Really love the concept and the look. I think it's even better than the Patek tourbillon. Hope you still have yours. If you ever want to sell yours, please ask me first

Ur Credor looks the same on my wrist. The 41mm LF might look a bit big. I have a 39mm LF tourb (jpn version). Good size but feels thick in relation to the width. I also have a 41mm LF micro(yes 41 not a mistake) and felt it was big but still wearable. Pro... 

The 39mm LF jpm version ...awesome. Do they come in white enamel dial as well? You have the Eichi 2 too? So how does it compare to your 39mm LF and 41mm LF? My wrist size is around 6.25 inches to 6.35 inches, depending on my hydration and weather...haha

Strangely the LF41 is looking pretty good size due to the smaller dial. The Eichi 2 is looking great on your wrist. I would think you have a bigger wrist than mine . Your LF 41 looks like a enamel dial too. Is that the special edition one? GORGEOUS!!! Tha... 

Ha np. I fig you are prob quite anal and it's also easier to see from pics. Ya it's enamel, and I think LF made 18 in pt. PT is soft that's why the case size increased from 40 to 41mm. Wrist I think similar but maybe I have thicker forearm, don't get tric...

Earlier this year, on a trip to Tokyo, I tried (but do not own) the Credor, LF39 tourbillon, and the LF41 enamel, over two great watch-days. The case fit of the Credor feels its 39mm size. The LF41 enamel 'fits smaller' than it looks, in the best possible... 

you should also check out the Grossmann Tefnut. Maybe you are in the tourb mode but this watch is 36mm and def worth a look ...  

at 36mm and the lugs wrap around the wrist. Superb movement too but I think John is after a tourbillon!

I'm actually after LF or Journe due to their narrative of their movement. I will happily accept the micro-rotor too

As others have mentioned it's quite a personal preference but if you are talking about the theoretical optimal size it looks a little big in the photo, may be a perspective thing. Also white dials tend to look bigger on the wrist imo. However, almost all ...

I will try my best to hunt down examples of the LF or FPJ and test it with the credor, so I can tell. I can live with Credor size but suspect that's the max. Then again each watch is so different when it's strapped on the wrist.

I think this fits just nicely. So anything bigger than this will have to have smaller dial or darker dial or more downward lugs. ...  

1) The Eichi 2 looks fine on your wrist and is very handsome. 2) The two comparison wrist shots of the 41mm LF enamel vs the the Credor Eichi 2 is really fascinating. The stepped wider case/bezel of the LF with the consequently smaller dial, when combined...
