I bought a Rolex Millgauss Z dial as a holiday watch two year ago. I only wear on vacation and playing with my kids. It is already quite beat up, but decided not to care with this piece. My six year old has already claimed it for when I die. I guess I don’t have to worry about resale value LOL

It works for all seasons and almost all situations. A two watch collection is not a bad idea, if you can be content with it. You could perhaps consider adding a Seiko diver for the beach and vacations. Otherwise perfect!
“a Seiko for the beach” is also exactly my approach for summer.
So now I wonder if you can spot WIS fellows on the beach just by looking out for (manual) Seikos

I will definitely struggle with a 2 watch collection... too much memories tied to too many watches 🤣

Great choices, but as a dress watch a three-hander is too simple for me, happy to have a different one with a complication.
I mean, if you had to do it then I suppose this is as good a direction to go as any.
For me, I think I would need one of the two to be a little more complicated perhaps. For no real reason other than having something less simple to look at.

Both fantastic pieces from two of the best brands. Good for you for downsizing. I wish I had that discipline or even a fraction of that for that matter.
It’s a classy pair. You’d have most all your bases covered.
