Horological Meandering

Great post with some very beautiful watches and great details about how you feel about each of them.

Although in my opinion they are more Extra Thin than Ultra Thin but that is subjective and maybe just my opinion, but in the past using Ultra Thin movements some of the most famous and respected Maisons were producing beautiful Ultra Thin watches that were in the 4-5mm range and to be honest sub 5 mm is what I consider an Ultra Thin watch and sub 8mm an Extra Thin watch.

I have a watch I consider to be truly Ultra Thin but am now starting to think it may actually need a new descriptor like Micro Ultra Thin as it is just 2.2mm thin, it is my Boucheron La Carree Ultra Plate and is 25mm x 25mm in 18K Yellow gold powered by the Frederic Piguet Calibre 21 which is just 1.74mm thick. Here are a few pictures to demonstrate its thinness.
