Hello there Mon!
Thank you for sharing with me your watch! It is very beautiful and i read up on it, its not at all like the current regular offering from Stowa that uses an automatic movement, even though the design is exactly the same! How i wish i knew about this piece from last time!
I know about the article by Mr. Odets, thanks for that though, i have been referred to it many times, and despite having read it over 1o times, i still find it as intriguing as the very 1st!
I believe that the 2801 as utilised in your watch has been slightly modified by Stowa for the hacking part, as the original ebauche from ETA does not contain a stop seconds function, only the 2824 does. Nonetheless, a very good job and extremely useful complication that they have provided. I cannot think of a better and puristic function than this.
I wonder then, if you have considered the novelty from Seiko this year? It was launched to commemorate the 130th anniversary of Seiko this year, and belongs to their Grand Seiko line ( think of it as the pinnacle of Seiko's craftmanship, sorta like a platinum line  . It is manually wound, with a completely new in-house movement that even houses in-house barrel spring & hairspring, escapements, palette. The only down side is that it is a little small at 35.8mm.
Comes in 3 versions, SS, Pt and YG.
And the Platinum.
Maybe your might like them?
Thank you for the constructive post once again, i highly appreciate it very much!
Cheers
Stephen
