Great experience with Venezianico...

Sharing something really special (to me):

- Venezianico Utopia 1 (cal V5000, Utopia 2 with cal. V5001) with that gorgeous teal guilloché dial. Comes with Italian in-house manual-wind movement with 60+ hours of power reserve and truly beautiful finishing. It s0ld out within hours — I didn’t even hear about it in time.

When I finally saw the pictures, I reached out to the makers, and Alessandro (one of the owners) got back to me directly via WhatsApp. This was back in early summer of 2025. He told me about Utopia 2 coming out in early 2026 — this one would have an even more beautifully finished movement, gold-plated instead of the rhodium plating over brass cal. on Utopia 1. I really liked the new caliber, but I still kept thinking about that gorgeous teal dial from Utopia 1. I told him, if anyone cancels out of the one hundred people who registered, I’d love to step in.

And here’s the crazy part: Alessandro offered to make a custom piece for me — still digging out the original teal dial but pairing it with the new upcoming gold-plated movement. I couldn’t believe it. I even discussed it with a good friend, who also wanted one and Alessandro agreed that they would make a numbered/ limited edition of just two watches: original teal dial + new gold-plated movement.

In the pics above: 1️⃣ Utopia 1 — teal dial, rhodium-plated movement 2️⃣ Utopia 2 (just introduced a few days ago and also sold out within a day) — champagne guilloché dial, gold-plated movement 3️⃣ & 4️⃣ My cust0m watch — teal dial, gold-plated movement, marked with my initials & numbered "1 of 2". 5️⃣ The new Utopia 2

Honestly, for the money, I am blown away by the beauty and finishing of this movement. The accuracy is also phenomenal — better than 2 seconds per day. Truly a watch that’s a joy to wear and admire..... and as you can imagine, that beautiful guilloché dial is so much nicer in person than any picture could ever capture.
