Get a safe from a safe manufacturer...

The luxury safes area really nice, but they're shockingly expensive. I would like to do a review about a safe, but I find that I'm not an expert in safes, so I might not be qualified. However, with the non-professional knowledge I do have; I would highly advise you to get a big, tall, heavy safe. At least TL-15 rated by Underwriters Laboratory. A TRTL 30 x 6 would be very nice. TL means tool resistant. TRTL means torch and tool resistant. 15 or 30 means number of minutes of resistance by a team of experienced safe crackers. the "x6" means on all six sides. The highest level safe I've ever seen was a TRTL 60x6. Insurance companies generally like to see at least a TL-15. Safes used by banks, jewelers, are typically very good, not too expensive (several thousand Euros), reliable, and extremely resistant. The fancy are not used by banks, have a very wide range of resistance, they're smaller, and therefore not great in some ways. It has to be bolted to the floor. If it's tall and skinny, you have to prevent it from being toppled over, because once it's toppled over the burglar has more ways to attack the safe. A typical burglar cannot get into a TL-15 safe, to crack a TL-15 safe one has to be a specialist with some special knowledge.
