I often get sucked into the photos of a new watch announcement and the marketing hype surrounding that release “ the watchmaker personally selected the stone like it’s a chrysalis and raising into a beautiful butterfly…obviously hyperbole on my part“ henc... 

I have to say that they Do have a good Marketing Team, that's for sure ! 😀

It seems to be working for them, though. When I visited the shop, people were streaming in ! (looked mostly like visitors from abroad)

And they are all less appealing than in photos.

I learned that years back, when I got my first (and only) one without having seen it in the metal.

But this one is easily among the least effective, even judging from pictures.... It's far too small, plain and without contrast. Not a bad watch per se, but not one I would spend money on myself. Cheers, Filip

I received the email yesterday from KT about this watch and I was intrigued by it. Not so much any more!

The dial design and marketing blurb initially caught my attention, too!

I guess horses for courses. I think the brand does offer something in the ecosystem, might just not be what everyone is looking for and that is fine. For people entering the journey there are something’s to like and the general proportions and focus on sm...

Judging from the not-so-direct explanation (copied below) from the Kurono website, I'm assuming that Mr. Asaoka did not paint numerals on the dials, but rather created the template for them: "Hajime Asaoka drew upon his art school training in lettering an...

The case feels a generic but probably ok for the price point.
