The Urwerk UR-110 is a watch I’ve always liked. And the blue dial white gold Daytona…and any Dy Date with an interesting dial.
Note, I didn’t look very close at any of these. I did not read the condition reports. But then again a lot of buyers of the prime lots seem to ignore their due diligence also!

Crazy prices, or a run to known quality as currency is too risky to keep in any large amount.

We all know auctions are heavily manipulated. Brands literally bid on them to drive up prices, or have friends do it, etc... The delta in pricing at auction and private sales is HUGE too. I have seen some of these watches on Moda or other places for a lot...
Well, YES it seems some Big Box Store Trilogy brands MUST buy up, and highly BID UP their products.................. or else the **true street price** would be realized to the public. Check out MODA, instead.

Really, why? i think true independents are winners here as smart collectors know the difference. Perhaps the market realizes the difference between truly vintage / rare, and just another modern mass production timepiece.

MODA has, usually, been a good wholesale indicator for sales / price of watches.

Auctions are fun, between hints of possible money laundering and 'charity pricing' strictly for Headlines, they serve their marketing purpose.
The sheer amount of marketing, both paid for, influencer supported, etc posts and articles coming up this week will be inspiring! Horology picked a great moment for marketing to the most wealthy just before the holidays 👍

Plenty of scams and plenty of not so honest watches on there.
Perhaps, tho it's moderated so they do act.
Of course nothing is perfect, so just join and look at prices. Auctions are rarely a 'value play', the fees are crazy. But for Bitcoin Bros and people with stacks of currency to move to someone else, they do serve a purpose. MODA is worth keeping an eye o...
