It seems to me that in recent times in house movements are reportedly more accurate and reliable than the ETAs. This made be very true but I have watches with movements of 2824, 2892 -2 and 7750 that are spot on and running perfectly even tho they are 15 years old. They may not look as nice or have the finish of certain in house movements but they are the work horses. I realize that everyone has different views on various movements and manufacturers but in the end performance counts. Just my thoughts of course.

No one doubts ETA’s quality.
But I guess there is a stigma when high end brands use them.

I have 2 ball watches using eta movements.
They are accurate but the power reserve is less around 35 hours max , base on my experience. Luxury brands use there own movements. Or they modify an eta movement to conform to their quality. Definitely enjoy what is straped on your wrist. Geross.
Either Practice or Effort
pmh6000, General statement: You become good at something with either practice or effort. So, brands like Rolex that make 700,000 chronometers a year get good at it. Or watchmakers that invest more time (sic) and effort in adjustments get the same results....
