Divine proportion …

Luca Pacioli (1446-1517) wrote “De Divina Proportione”, published in Venice in 1509, to explain the mathematical concept of Golden Ratios* (aka Divine Proportions, Golden Proportions, Golden Numbers) and their relationship to art and nature and forms that are pleasing to the eye. This tome was illustrated by none other than Leonardo da Vinci, whom we also relate to beauty and proportion in art and scientific illustration.

The Octa RdM, as beautifully demonstrated in this picture by King Johann, uses hidden symmetry and Golden Ratios (including Golden Rectangles) to en-trance the wearer.

Is François-Paul Journe a modern-day alchemist? I am inclined to think so.
