desk clock search deja vu...
those of you who know me know of my long term search for a handsome elegant timeless (!) mechanical desk clock.
well, yet again, new propositions appear but always are, well, tainted:
for those who have not seen it, here is the soon to be available Vulcain TWA terminal (1960s JFK airport, Queens NYC) tri-display clock, reimagined as a desk clock.

sadly the desk clock is of course quartz. or should i say the clocks are all quartz, since there are three of them. and the price is equally disturbing.
i applaud the idea; i decry the implementation.

Mee too, totally agree! The case - as it is stainless steel - will not be cheap. They have to do a die cast I guess…
Still it is expensive for what it is. And 3 times quartz - well… The good thing - you will not recognize it, as there is no seconds hands… The design though is … ❣️🥰
The 1960s JFK Terminal was a Masterpiece of design
Great inspiration and cool concept, Would have preferred it in white with a tinge of grey or grey onyx or marble, more 60s feel, also quartz? Not as cool as mechanical but could tolerate that
Have you ever thought about a gold old Marine Chronometer , mechanical desk clock ? You can even buy brand new ones from Russia if you don't want a vintage one ?

I'm not familiar with the said terminal, the pic looks stunning. I think the clock is awesome too and don't really understand why you think the price is too high. It's not your standard mashup of off-the-shelf parts you order from China for couple bucks. ...
