but I prefer not to think about what happens in case of loss. The value covered can be capped indeed. Depending on the value of the watch, my experience is that a short trip in person can be worth it.

Speaking now of US to EU: I have shipped a couple - one was lost for 5 months then showed up in a crushed box on the buyer's doorstep in Germany AFTER we had already chased down some partial insurance and split the reimbursement (and the loss!) between us...
