Any higher end smart watch which is not iOS compatible will be difficult to sell...
which even Google admits - they are preparing an iOS app which would make tethering an Android-driven smartwatch to an iPhone possible:
Thus, I don't see any of the Swiss luxury makers like TAG Heuer, Montblanc or Moser be daring (or stupid) enough to develop their own smart watch ecosystem. That would certainly be DOA. Instead, they will dock to one of them (likely iOS to start with), or both.
They great unknown is Swatch group. They might try to develop their own, but at some point might (be forced to) change tune and join the others.
