I'm not sure how to take your post, as it can have many different meanings, and of course, the internet medium is very poor at carrying subtle undertones.
But "giving the maximum benefit of the doubt" and appreciating your past partipation and support of our charitable efforts (100% of which went to charity, by the way) I'll take your comments completely positively.
To carry the metaphors a little further, this is a community, but one in which services are provided by the owners, but the community at large is not taxed. Hence, the idea of "guests."
That said, we as the hosts are not holy, and want to reiterate that we are merely human, with attendant passion, compassion, pride, and egos to be hurt, no matter how much we try to stick to the "high road."
I am composing a reply to Al, but wanted to reply to you first as I sincerely hope we (you and me, you and this site) are not somehow "on the wrong track" as that, indeed, would make me truly sad, more than the situation with Mr. Journe.
Sincerely,
TM
