Horological Meandering

Absobloodylutely YES

i support 2 ADs, but sometimes they just cant get anything done. there are also occassions that the grey dealer get their wares from the ADs, even Brands!!! as good as new. my last 4 pateks, all from greys, all sealed and unnamed, filled in after i pay for them, all with defered dates of purchase for additional warranty period, plus 30% discount off list. its a nook and wink issue between the brands and ADs and greys. yes, the market is as smelly and fishy as that.

some greys have a extensive network, so they buy from overseas and resell in their domestic markets. now the flow is still from US and HK, with the weak USD, to the rest of the world. so there is FX play there. also, some watches flow from Europe, because their domestic markets are not selling well, and re-exported to Asia, where they are ebing snapped up, and they float on the 20%  EU tax rebate. its all sales and trading....thats what APs and PPs and Rolexes have become. with the crappy USD, and the loss of confidence in paper currency, watches and luxury goods have become commoditised. there is also a lucrative trade in Berkins and Kellys, even low end Berluttis have a 10% margin.

best,

Horo
