+1, I'm definitely no expert here, but sometimes it just takes me a few minutes to precisely identify a person or location, so I can only imagine what a smart and/or well-organized "professional" (i.e. criminal!) armed with a good software can do! ;-)

For a number of good reasons, I've always had *zero* social media presence (no FB, Twitter, IG, etc. etc.). So I just borrowed my girlfriend's phone today to check this gentleman's IG account, "Horolson," and then I took the opportunity to browse IG for an hour or so, after probably years (mostly watch accounts or hashtags). Well, besides the really low level of many accounts and comments to the posts, which fortunately makes IG not very inviting, I can tell you that the amount of information (locations, personal info, etc.) that people seem to give out to the entire world *without realizing it* is TRULY frightening my friend! ;-)
PS: And yes, save a few exceptions that I explicitly authorized (in particular, I sent a picture of my "School of FIsh" 5177G-028 as an exclusive to *only one* IG account last year, called "Mr.chrono"), most other pictures you'll find of my own Pateks on IG have been lifted by total strangers with no consent or attribution. I was of course (in part) aware of this, and it might even be considered physiological (?), but I seriously did not know it reached this extent recently!
So again, to insist on your excellent points, we should all be mindful and take VERY good precautions in real life --- and, hopefully, this good thread that Viken opened will save the next victim among our readers
Cheers.
