Horological Meandering

The value of box and papers varies to many of us. For Rolex collectors it can increase the value / cost by 20% or more. For other brands you are looking at completeness of the package and the expected care the previous owner exercised over the watch. But ...  

As for the box and papers, it is indeed a nice extra, but not something which would make me go or pass on a watch. Cake first, cherry after. Best, Nicolas

B&P are very important to me. I have passed on many (probably) great deals because they were not available. Not saying I'm right.

Other times nice to have. But given the opportunity to pick papers over none papers trump. But if i really need a model or liove one i will try to validate using other methods than papers. But a crappy example with papers is less tempting unless it truely...

From my side, if it is only the box which miss, it could be ok (but it depends if the box is a special one or a common one). Regarding the papers, it is much more complicated. I think I could not buy a watch without its original papers even if it is one I...
