Horological Meandering

Advise for quandry by young watch collector

Dear Purist Pro's -

I come forth to ask you all a question that I am sure you may have all considered at some point? When is it time to consolidate your collection and attempt to purchase one watch for everyday wear?

Like most of you I am sure I have been collecting watches since I was a young man and have now amassed some 15-20 watches - 6 of those are solid watches from the likes of Tudor, Rolex, IWC, Panerai and Glashutte.

However occasionally - one of those times being now - I wonder if I should sell/trade them all into one grail watch? Is there one out there that could satisfy everyday wear and tear as well as transition from jeans to tux when / if needed?

If so I would certainly appreciate your insights, thoughts and suggestions on this question that I cannot seem to get out of my mind for an extended period.

Thanks in advance,
Christopher
