Some thoughts
Feb 21, 2020,17:47 PM
I don’t post much but have been around for a while and lurking for an even longer time before that. I have had the privilege of getting to know Imran and many other members and mods (past and present) all of whom I have come to respect - and some I am fortunate enough to call friends.
The key element about this site and the other offshoots that have stemmed from it is that mods and members are here to share a passion. Mods are volunteers first and foremost - we sometimes forget that. Yes, there have been some politics in the background (as is the case with many places where you have very passionate and opinionated people) and the content does go through cycles; however, this site has remained one of the few remaining places where I feel that content is shared because of passion and not financial gain.
Imran, as a (volunteer) mod, has done a tremendous job both towing the line where appropriate and providing very insightful content - as do the other mods btw. More importantly, just like many here, he shares his knowledge gratuitously and passionately on and offline.
Of course there is always room for improvement and if a member wants to be active and contribute constructively to the debate then I don’t think anyone here would object to that. In fact, it would be great to see more content shared!
Just remember we are all here to have fun and enjoy the wrist candy!
All the best,
Walid
