While awaiting for the presentation to begin,  Maria Tabaschnik, was around to explain various procedures and techniques used in making the movements.
It was great to meet her again since the last Tempus Event in 2007, when she came as one of graduating students of Master Watchmaker, Uwe Bahr and
she was demonstrating polishing of the swan-neck.  The demonstration could be viewed in this post.

Now she is doing the final-check/quality control for the watches manufactured and also handle the customer service functions.

Dieter Pachner, VP Sales of Glashütte Original highlighted Singapore is the third country to showcase the world traveler-
Grande Cosmopolite Tourbillon,  after Basel and Hong Kong.
After the short note, he invited group of tens to join him in another room for a detailed presentation.

We were led into a mini-cinema with the above globe in the centre of the room ...

Turning the globe and move the highlight to another reference point, provided a simulated change of timezone be it moving forward or backward of the
reference location.

The Grande Cosmopolite Tourbillon will indicate the time accurately for its 37 time zones.  The important point, is to know if DST or summer time is in effect for the destination place visiting.

The most interesting demonstration is when traveling on the last day of February.  The Grande Cosmopolite Tourbillon is able to provide the correct time regardless traveling  forward and backward , even on a leap year.

Some questions were asked about the pricing and the delivery.

Dieter Pachner commented, the first piece should be able to deliver between end of this year or early next year.  The balance twenty four pieces, target to complete shipping within two years. The list price is CHF325K.
