for a while now.. something has bothered me and keeps me from buying GO..
while i love the styling, i love the movements....oh the movements!, love the dials, love the cases...
2 flaws i find that if fixed would raise the level of GO very much.. as the movments/dials/cases/straps are phenomenal to me.. and i would say almost up to lange level in my book.
1: THE WRITING ON THE BACKS.... when you flip over a lange...what do you see? (Brand name, Model #, city (glashuette), metal stampings.. THATS IT!
take this beautiful senator sixties:
flip it over..
!!!!!!!
3ATM=not needed, if i needed to know the water resistance rating, i can look in my manual
Water Resistant=really... with the 3ATM there this is very redundant.. neither needs to even be there though
Shockproof=again, i could look in manual if i wanted to read this
Saphire Crystal=would be on spec sheet, not watch... i really honestly dont care if its saphire, mineral or plexi.. but seeing its a newer watch i would guess saphire and dont need to read this day after day when admiring my movemen.
St. Steel=if it was white gold or platinum, first would be able to tell from hue of metal.. but again if white gold or platinum.. it would carry stampings.. which it doesnt so we know its steel
the glashuette and serial/model #... understandable and needed/wanted... but the rest.. just an eye sore in my opinion.
look at this beautiful watch.. i would buy in heartbeat if only i wasnt afraid to turn it over..
just bothers me.. several pieces i like, but my AD is not local so i have him take a picture of the back and every model always has some frivolous writing on the back.. can they please stop this?
hopefully not alone, does anyone else feel the same way?
my only other flaw, is easily fixed.. the deployants look like the same deployants they sell on ebay for 25$... with the big fold over flip top... this can be fixed with using a tang, and i really like their tang design.. so this isnt a big problem
