Let's start with the black ceramic Senator Perpetual . . .

. . . which is the first instance to my knowledge of the use of any non-metallic substance for case construction from G O. The matte black case, dial, aperture backgrounds, black calfskin strap and matching black ceramic buckle combine to create a subdued appearance that should be very light on the wrist. Even the aperture frames are matte black, with only a touch of red to indicate the leap year - very stealthy indeed! The cal 100-07 movement is unchanged from the current steel and gold Senators, and offers a 55 hour power reserve along with the characteristic ability to set time without interrupting the operation of the balance. This is one model that I can't wait to try on.
