The blue dial is a killer! Now we just need to wait 6 months for the prices to drop. Need not rush be the first in the queue and pay the full RRP.

It seems all think the same - me too! 👍🏻🤩

Nice size Nice colors Date is ok but not a must have Price is -ähm - not a pro buying argument… 😂

It’s a fair question, esp if you already own the earlier blue 38mm

And feel somewhat “cheated” that a newer blue version is now available. For me, it’s a case of “do I really and absolutely need another Laureato”…? ...

Earlier this year

I paid a premium for 38 mm pre owned Laureato in blue because it was rare and had been discontinued. This new blue dial in 38 mm looks identical to the shade of blue I have now. So my watch is no longer rare, and my watch is no longer discontinued. As we ...

I do not think it is the same blue - it actually looks much darker...

However - this can always be the case! Panerai did it, Omega did it - many others too! It is much easier to use an established model and add an iteration. A new model is always a risk. I AND FOR ME - I never buy watches for perceived value etc. I buy them...

An interesting counter point , thank you

On GP’s website, the new blue shade looks EXACTLY the same as my blue model. We can debate until we’re blue (or sage green) in the face. But no one will really know until we see them in person. What the two blues actually look like. As you’ve stated, if I...

Thanks for sharing !

Based on those photos: Yep, their “midnight blue” is simply a recycle of my blue that was first introduced in 2017. They look very very similar to my eyes. So it’s very possible it’s the exact same color. Meh. Also, that sage green is a huge miss for me a...

Actually I don‘t think so!

It could also help to become more „known“ to new clients, and this helps collectors at the end of the day too!

Agree 100% mon ami

It’s not really a true novelty. Differences aren’t compelling enough

My thoughts

So first we had the 38 mm in blue dial in 2017. Then the 38 mm was discontinued in December 2021. Then copper dial arrived in October 2022. (Same case, movement etc. the gold rotor had been used while under the Kerring ownership (onyx dial 38 mm. Single b...

A friendly counterpoint . . .

The reissue of Girard-Perregaux's 38mm Laureato has certainly sparked interest and debate among enthusiasts. While some see it as merely a dial variation, others appreciate the brand's decision to reintroduce this size, which has long been requested by fa...

All is well for those who really want the 38 mm in new condition. But for us who knows a thing or two about watches...

So many options at 15K prices... 15K without anything new is questionable...seems like GP management is only care about cash grabbing. Neo vintage is the way to go

Without emotions, I have to state: These are 2 extremly attractive iterations!

So, in my view, evolution in small steps. Take the design and do it slightly better - and if it’s only a different hand / dial combination. But I like them both! The sage dial, with the golden Logo and hand, is for me a killer! 👍🏻

Anthracite grey dial 38 mm

Personally, as someone that has tried on/owned most of the 38 mm variants, I still find my discontinued gunmetal grey dial to be the most appealing. As for the laureato with a blue dial, I personally like the 41 mm 81000 anniversary blue dial the best. Th...

The 38 mm white dial is a good one too

As for the sage dial with the gold, I have posted that maybe just the seconds hands in gold. GP logo in steel …? But, I have to see it in person. For me, I’m happy with my anthracite grey 38 mm. 🤝 ...

I heard they made too many gold plated GP logo and second hand for the Copper dial variant.

So they just plasting them on the sage green variant...and voila....a novelty ! But actually i like it better than the blue . Maybe because i've had seen too many blue dial watches.

Hmm …

Can you share who you heard that from? Or confirm the person is a credible source? Thanks, 🤝
