Newsflash: Girard Perregaux Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition.
The 38 mm is limited to 188 pieces and the 42 mm to 388 pieces.
The other difference is that the 38 mm houses the Cal GP 3300, which is 25, 95 mm big, while the 42 mm has the Cal GP1800, which is 30 mm big.
Both have a green polished and satin finished ceramic case.

I find the 38 mm more appealing, personally.
BUT... I am not a big fan of Green, which I find too trendy, and even less of the Green Ceramic. But this is very subjective, indeed.
Now, the Cal GP1800 has my preference, for its ( finally! ) bigger size, which better fills the case, and for its longer power reserve: 54 hours versus 46.
The price: 25, 000 USD for the 38 mmm, 25800 USD for the 42 mm version.

These colored ceramic watches (and the blue AP RO too) just look plastic and cheap to me.
I'm sure the wrist-feel is different, but aesthetically they do not look like luxury pieces. More akin to a cheap plastic Moonswatch. John
Same here. Just a "latest flavor" I guess, but I'd be surprised if these stand the test of time. Same with AP's colored ceramic.
I feel a bit differently about black ceramic but still prefer metals.
It may be that they look different in person.
I’m not sure why the black ceramic is acceptable, but for me it’s because I can see the brushed striations that give it character, as opposed to the smooth plastic like appearance of the blue ceramic. But at least all AP ceramic models will always be cons...
Not sure why black works for me either, but I will definitely stick with black and regular colored metals.
Come to think of it, the gray ceramic coaxial Speedmaster is nice too. Maybe I'm just prejudiced against colors!

Thanks Nicholas ☀️ Thought I’m more of a fan of steel. I do like what GP is doing here. A lot of hard work by the design team. No date would be better. No decal on the display caseback would be better. Overall, some excellent pieces at a reasonable price....
