Sorry for the long delay.

Agree in most of the comments you have made but just thiking GP has not put in considerable thinking or designing,therefore resulting a little bite of "recognizable look" missing here.

Recognizable look comprise of those element yo have mentioned.Slightest specialities/appealling will leads to distinct from the rest.This tends to stand out from the crowd,this is the element of sucess in dressy/classic watch.

For instance,Richard lange the back finishing aside,the hour,minute and seconds hands are of swordish style.And needless to mention AP Jules Audemas's hands too,they are different from the crowd.Here,i touch only hands shape ommiting the other part of the watch.Longines L990,for instance do not show distinct oer the other dress watch resulting a low poplarity among collectors.

In my opinion,since shape and size are of the question due to the "root"or "heritage retaining",therefore other parts of the watch must have distinctive speacilaity.That is thereason behind my remarks of WWTC with classic look.GP's full calender is already at 40mm and wwtc in gold of power reserve is at 41mm,if you remove the power reserve and world time,you will get exactly that.And i see the effect will be better,since wwtc have its own Shape of hands.Take my word,Peter.Try it out,you will feel the Modernistic Classy GP heritage retained.
