Just tried on today !
By: Aquaracer1 : March 15th, 2023-18:51
And absolutely blown out of the water !! This is my first time seeing one in the metal. I did not consider the 42 mm size, and had a hunch the 38 mm option would fit my 6.5 inch wrist perfectly. My thoughts are confirmed. I really should be holding out fo...
Really nice GP.

Definitely wait for the blue version. No reason to compromise here.
Good advice

Thanks vitalsigns
Which one?
By: Aquaracer1 : March 15th, 2023-19:30
Copper dial? They did not have any of the newer variants available
I believe....
By: InHavenPro : March 15th, 2023-19:36
he means the green ceramic Aston Martin edition that amanico posted this morning. The Laureato is an excellent idea regardless, I've got to say your downtown city pictures are also very tastefully framed! Looking forward to seeing what you end up deciding...
If he is referring to

The green ceramic AM edition, they didn’t have that one either. But that’s ok. Not for me. Thank you InHavenPro!
This is the 38 mm my friend
By: Aquaracer1 : March 15th, 2023-19:42
I did not take the time to track down the 42 mm size, as I’m sure it will wear too large for my personal tastes
Couldn’t agree more
By: Aquaracer1 : March 15th, 2023-22:29
38.5 is the real sweet spot for me. For example, I’m wearing my Aqua Terra as we speak! 🙂 And I love your copper Laureato - Perfect size and you wear it well!
Looks great on your wrist, Jesse!

Locally, two Boston ADs have all the color variations available in the 42mm editions. My sense is that people are waiting and hoping GP will re-release these in the 38mm case size with the recent introduction of the cooper dial and now the green ceramic p...
Thank you Mark! 🙏

If I had more time today, I would have checked out the blue dial, in 42, to see how that color speaks to me. Hopefully next time! Even without seeing the blue with my own eyes, I’m confident it is the best choice for me on Laureato. My pics do not do this...
I didn’t even know
By: Aquaracer1 : March 15th, 2023-20:27
That case size was an option, haha. For this case shape, I wouldn’t go bigger than 38 mm. Just personal preference. Thank you
Thanks BigAppleBill!

🙏. The dial had *just* enough contrast so that it was not the same tone / color of the rest of the stainless steel watch. I’d say the silver is a bit more subtle, and the blue really pops!
Personally I prefer the white dial ...

IMHO the hour markers "pop" off the dial and are much nicer to look at. Blue is also good but to me white is right : - )
Appreciate your opinion jrbar-on!

This venue also called the dial “white.” I admit, I was expecting a milky-white dial. However, in the metal, it is much more silver looking to me
A standout white dial.

Were you trying this on at EWC on Newbury? Tourneau is an AD for GP, but I don’t think Shreve is 🤔 Regardless, looking at the GP site, their white dial did catch my attention since it’s hard to find uniquely impressive white dial pieces e.g. Royal Oak. Yo...
Yes ArmisT, it was EWC

It is even better in person than in the pics. I’m set on the blue, but its so good it did make me think about pulling the trigger right there on the spot. Some refer to it as white. But in reality, at least to my eyes, it’s is much more silver looking . I...

Sorry Nico,
By: Aquaracer1 : March 15th, 2023-22:36
My OP wasn’t very clear in size. I tried on the 38 mm today, not the 42
Fits you well

For silver dial, I would consider the 41 mm heritage laureato LE ref 81000. Look at c24 etc. engraved caseback with the LE number … not the current 1/188. They are iconic and they will never produce more. 2016 saw 225 made on silver dial and 225 made in b...
Helps to see them all wide by side

Depends on the wrist size. 42 mm wears ok on my 18.5 cm wrist. But it’s like wearing an offshore a royal oak. Different watch almost.
Agree. It’s not just quality

Of the camera and the image but more so the staging. The angle, the glare etc. Some use photoshop and such after to touch up an image. I don’t. It’s all me baby 😍
Bravo!

Thanks SingaporeMarc!

The grey option looks cool too. Very informative post. It’s super helpful to see the 42 and 38 mm side by side. What a difference 4 mm can make!
Always make me happy
By: SingaporeMarc☀️ : March 16th, 2023-11:46
To hear that some of my posts may have helped a fellow collector make a more informed decision. Even 1 mm makes a difference. The 41 mm heritage 225 ref 81000 is overlooked by many because they just don’t know to search for it on c24 and such. With a 14 d...

You are! With this case shape, I have always found that the watch wears approx 2 mm larger than actual size. Which is why I am so glad I had the opportunity to try it on yesterday. Thanks again SingaporeMarc! 👍🏻
Most welcome.

Interesting, while the case/bezel shape is octagonal, the thickness of the bezel for production vs neo vintage plays a part on the overall perceived size of the watch on the wrist. For example, the dial size of the laureato 36 mm ref 8010 is the same as t...
