For me the GP
Jun 24, 2023,09:30 AM
1. It’s an excellent, still underrated brand.
2. The open dial looks stunning.
3. The bracelet is very comfortable.
4. It has no date window that “destroys” the dial.
Just MHO.
All the best for your decision process.

that Laureato looks excellent to me, I still prefer the Overseas even more ........
Both great in their own ways.

Would you be getting the VC from boutique as MSRP (or paying premium from grey)? I ask because while I’m a big fan of skeleton dials, and this GP is one of the top affordable ones, this VC Overseas wins over it because it is an excellent foundational piec...

I'd go for the GP
By: Arronax : June 24th, 2023-04:08
I prefer no date and the GP is reasonably legible for a skeleton.
Get the GP skeleton but NOT from

An AD. Buy it on the secondary market as there are some going for brand new at a massive discounts. Especially here in Singapore. You can PM me for links to the dealer websites. This OS is nice but not spectacular. Paying more for the brand than anything ...
GP skeleton for me.

Has a more interesting/striking dial and a thinner case. The VC is stunning nonetheless, still wonderfully thin with a beautiful dial, and wonderful looking Geneva seal movement. Overall (IMO) the GP just looks far too interesting and fun. 👍
For me the GP

GP for me

One of the most well-balanced and top-graded finishiing skeletonized dials I have seen. The flow of the bridges with varying degree of widths echoes the dynamic design of the case. The end result is stunning and unified as a whole.
VC for me

The GP looks great but the VC dial, case and bracelet in person are spectacular, as well as: - fully adjustable bracelet with micro adjustment; - quick change strap system with supplied alligator and rubber straps (it’s 3 watches in one); - protection aga...
For me it would be the G-P for its exciting dial and design.

The VC, in spite of its quality, is unexciting and is spoilt by the date. If the VC's date's background colour matched the dial and had while numerals, it would be a little more interesting. My 2 pence worth. Clive
I would love to own both actually!

Either one is a great choice. If ever you consider having both at one point the GP is easily available on the grey market at a discount while the VC might be harder to source. Good luck

Agree about a GP vs VC question

In a GP forum. But for the holy trinity, maybe you can help elaborate what makes a brand a member of the “holy trinity” and another not a member? I’ve always wonder about who invented this term “Holy Trinty” and why only VC, Patek, AP are in it. Thanks. ...

A terms that all agree upon and proven by other reputable watchmakers.
Yes I know the term bandied around a lot.
By: SingaporeMarc : June 26th, 2023-17:52
But perhaps you would like to explain how it came about and the criteria for it … as only VC and AP and Patek in it because? You said that there is a reason that VC is in the holy trinity. Well, so what is that reason ? And why is it others brands that pe...

yourself is heavily vested in GP especially laureato's. Do u have any brand in mind that u think is on the same field as the 3's.
That’s why I asked
By: SingaporeMarc : June 27th, 2023-04:30
What is the criteria for membership to this “Holy Trinity” … If you can help explain that to me, I can perhaps suggest some other brands that might also be able to join this famous club. Thanks.
By: horoween : June 27th, 2023-05:46
perhaps u can name what other brand of your preference, u seems not comfortable GP is not listed or recognized? mentioned above the 3's are proven by reputable watchmaker
Would be interesting to see

What the score would Be if you asked the question in the VC forum.
Hahahaha! Excellent question.

For those who are not 100% addicted „brand fans“ but also think outside the box, the answer should actually be similar. But who knows? If you were going by the quality of the watches alone, wouldn't some fantastic brands be so underrated and other watches...
Agree. Quality alone is not
