We were in Tuscany last year, and as a destination not everyone might know, especially if you are a wine lover, I'd definitely suggest to have lunch/dinner at an "azienda agricola" in the area for their Sassicaia....among the best wines in the world:

Here we were in a tiny town called Bolgheri, an hour or so south of Lucca. Caveat: You might need a reservation (though in March hopefully it won't be an issue), and to reach any of these "aziende agricole" much of the drive will be right in the middle of the beautiful Tuscany countryside, a fascinating experience in itself! ;-)
Yes, the glass of wine comes with the price tag, in case you'll ever forget about it...

...I had one of the worst meals of my life there once. My 12yo son said it tasted like Chef Boyardee straight from the microwave : )
