We were in Tuscany last year, and as a destination not everyone might know, especially if you are a wine lover, I'd definitely suggest to have lunch/dinner at an "azienda agricola" in the area for their Sassicaia....among the best wines in the world:
Here we were in a tiny town called Bolgheri, an hour or so south of Lucca. Caveat: You might need a reservation (though in March hopefully it won't be an issue), and to reach any of these "aziende agricole" much of the drive will be right in the middle of...
