Restaurants I don't know, but Lucca is famous for its leather, so ... watch straps? (Indeed, a well-known strap maker uses artisanal leather from there.)
We were in Tuscany last year, and as a destination not everyone might know, especially if you are a wine lover, I'd definitely suggest to have lunch/dinner at an "azienda agricola" in the area for their Sassicaia....among the best wines in the world:
Here we were in a tiny town called Bolgheri, an hour or so south of Lucca. Caveat: You might need a reservation (though in March hopefully it won't be an issue), and to reach any of these "aziende agricole" much of the drive will be right in the middle of the beautiful Tuscany countryside, a fascinating experience in itself! ;-)
