鰻 (うなぎ / eel) and ホタテ (scallops) are two of my favorites
There's a system in Japan where you can pay your tax to almost any prefecture, regardless of where you live. The receiving prefecture then normally sends a small token of appreciation - in this case we got some eel and scallops ... you have to pay the tax in any case, but the small 'gift' is much appreciated, and in this case very tasty.

I cannot imagine the US ever being this progressive. Some food industry would complain and go to the Supreme Court to have the decision overturned. And that’s before we get into Vegan, Vegetarian, Flexitarian, Pescatarian, Kosher and Halal…
