F.P. Journe

have been looking at "simple" watches lately to wear on holiday.. something new and exciting and i have been looking primarily at Patek/Vach/JLC but have now gazed over at Journe specifically the CS.. i like the Rose, but everyone i know that owns journe ... 

bought the rose, will be here tomorrow....... AD called me back and went a little lower and i was weak.

but I prefer rose Journes. The problem or I should say the great thing about journe is he does not charge a ton more for Platinum over rose gold so platinum journes are good values if there is such a thing in luxury watches LOL.

about how he said we are in the business of selling watches, not selling watch cases.. i like his choice of only making the two metals.. yellow gold would be hideous ;-)

Given that Platinum and Gold prices are roughly the same nowadays, it seems the premium for Platinum watches is a bit of a scam....??? Factor in the different tooling machinery costs required for platinum casing blah blah but it still doesn't compute....
