What the true demand for this watch will be, may be hard to tell.
The OnlyWatch was cool, but the overall design (case, bracelet, bezel) to me would appeal only to a very specific buyer.
This production version is to me also very cool. It’s quite a “stark” (if that’s the right word) look and feel. Initial impressions would to me give a very “basic” feel (because of the bezel and the colour of the material).
No Journe Line Sport watch has ever really been “in demand”. Yes, perhaps the blue or yellow dials were more coveted, but overall the line of folks waiting around the corner for a Line Sport was never really a thing.
I do feel this watch may change this a little. And what I wonder is will demand for this watch be driven by appreciation for the design, the novelty, the calibre etc or will it just be FOMO and folks chasing a “new” Journe.
I do think it will be hard to tell.

I really like what's going on on the movement side.

I’m sure difficult initially but it’s not a “special” reference like an Optimum, Resonance etc. (Although, could this be the first Journe “sport watch” to actually be sought after?)

There's a lot I like about this but not the price or the way the stark black theme highlights a really underwhelming handset.

I read that the dial is revealed to the owner on wearing it but in general I really do value good legibility in a watch so this one would not be for me even if I was able to buy one. I also just can't understand why you would put the moonphase on the move...

Not my cuppa tea at all......and certainly does not
strike me visually like a $100,000 watch. No need to worry though. Considering the super low production, there will be MANY more buyers vs. the available watches.
