The suspense is killing me!!

Two more days until I see what the date and month displays say. I am crossing my fingers for a smooth transition to 1 MAR! But you never know, with these Calendrier models!

[Coincidentally, for the first time ever, someone complimented me on the Perpetuelle today. I pulled up my sleeve for literally half a second, just to check the time quickly as I was sliding my tray down the servery in a dining hall, and the person next to me (who happened to be looking down) said, "Wow, that's a REALLY nice watch!" I told her she had exquisite taste.]

Below is what I saw at 10am this morning. I then advanced the date on the Calendrier to 1 MAR and all was well. I did this by pulling out the crown, rotating it upwards (clockwise) 6 times to change the day from FRI to THU, and then turning the crown down...

That Looks fantastic wiht the two side by side

I only wish I could get the '1' to start at the bottom with the '31' at the top. For some reason that makes more sense to me. It is beautiful in any case.

Me too but

If you intend it as something indicating the remaining of the month it depletes the days in 31 Also some power reserve on FPJ is indicated with numbers growing instead of counting the hours left. Special watches in each sense!

Two beautiful timepieces

You really caught two rare and sought after pieces here. Congratulations!!! The Calendrier is perhaps one of the most iconic watches in the Octa line. The big retrograde hand of the date is so recognisable and really adds a lot to the character of the wat...

Thank you Christian. The Perpetuelle dial is ruthenium as well, which you may know...

It's the same gray color as the Calendrier. I too had the same initial reaction to the Perpetuelle. It was a risk. I didn't know if I would warm up to a two-tone watch. However, I quickly grew to love it. It's very different (and of course much lighter) t...

Interesting, because I always thought the Octa Perpetuelle was more mat..

I was aware they are both Ruthenium but it seems more mat i pictures - or is that just the angle? Yes its funny with the two tone. Im not that fond of two tone watches - but someone pointed out to me, that perhaps it is not really a two tone watch, but mo...

It's just the angle...

One of the things I dislike about FPJ's watches is the lack of anti-reflective coating on the crystals. They are difficult for me to photograph, so I have to rotate the dial to just the right angle to avoid reflections. More importantly than the photograp...

interesting that the color is, in fact, the same

I wouldnt have thought that. So cool you where able to get both pieces with the same number. Does the number have a significance to you? I agree that Journe watches can be difficult to photograph. Especially the highly reflective dials. Im never really ha...

sure hope the month end worked out for your two beauties
