that first sketch looks tantalizingly like a rough sketch for an Equation of Time movement.
Anyone speak French who can tell from the notes? I know enough to know that it mentions "marine" and "mast", which would align with an EOT movement.
The second looks frighteningly like an apparatus to (try to) protect the watchmaker from dangerous fumes when plating parts....

I think an email to the boutique to ask for an appointment is a very good idea and appreciated by the staff
They get so many visits every day, it’s hard for them to keep up.

Japan literally impossible. Watch enthusiasts are using boutiques as tourist destinations. The problem is the sheer number of people. I was in the Geneva boutique recently. Before lunch they had had more than 50 people coming in. Afternoon probably worse....
Exactly this point. They cannot have 10 or more staff
and then people complain when the red carpet is not rolled out for them.
