They get so many visits every day, it’s hard for them to keep up.

JLC has some seriously knowledgeable folks. VC was good Patek was oddly cold when I visited - wasn't wearing one of their watches I guess

Anyone speak French who can tell from the notes? I know enough to know that it mentions "marine" and "mast", which would align with an EOT movement. The second looks frighteningly like an apparatus to (try to) protect the watchmaker from dangerous fumes w...

Not sure what the situation is in Miami or Los Angeles but kind of crappy news about the New York Boutique. (Certainly hope things are better in Paris 👍) A really good friend of mine who is a serious watch collector and I have known him for over 20 years,... 

Japan literally impossible. Watch enthusiasts are using boutiques as tourist destinations. The problem is the sheer number of people. I was in the Geneva boutique recently. Before lunch they had had more than 50 people coming in. Afternoon probably worse.... 

and then people complain when the red carpet is not rolled out for them.

and as a result my last two pieces have been pre-loved.
