A question, however: do you know of anyone who supplies these springbars in precious metals? I ask as I understand that you should match the springbar material with the case material, so as to prevent damage to the springbar holes in the watch lugs (which I understand might happen if you use steel sprinbars on a gold watch). Hence Patek provide PM springbars for their PM watches. Or is the risk an overstated one?
In this regard, do you know if the springbars in FP Journes are also in PM, or are they steel? For what it's worth, I note that the quick release springbars that are on watches made by some of the independent makers out there are steel coloured, irrespective of the colour/material of the watch itself.
