Optimum. My wrist; not my watch !
We had a mini GTG earlier today to welcome a friend’s Optimum. (Will make a separate post on the main forum for the GTG).
Black and gold, as I’ve always said, is one of the most beautiful combinations in any watch. And this is true for the Optimum. The only other Optimum that comes close for me is the mother of pearl dial on the platinum case, and even I think I’d opt for this version.
The first one I handled in this combination belonged to another member here, that was several years ago. I was smitten then, and still think about that watch. This one, fresh from delivery, just increased my love for this combination of metal and dial and for the Optimum.
Realistically the price point today is far far beyond my comfort level and so it will be just admiration from afar. I wanted to share some photos here to let the rest of you admire this masterful timepiece.

I would wear this combination. I’ve definitely gotten more comfortable with coloured metal. Although, I would still only want one or two in a collection as they would not be every day wearable for me.
